How we verify educators
What the Verified Educator badge means, what we check, and how fast.
What the badge means
A Verified Educator badge means a person on our team looked at the tutor's degree, teaching certificate or institute registration and checked that the name and qualification match the profile. It is not a police background check, so always meet for a demo first and use our safety tips.
What tutors send us
A clear PDF or photo of a degree, B.Ed/teaching certificate, or (for institutes) a registration or GST certificate, showing the full name, the institution and the date. Documents are stored privately, seen only by our verification team, and never shown on the profile.
What we check
- The name on the document matches the profile name.
- The qualification matches what the profile claims.
- The document looks genuine and complete — no edits, crops hiding details, or someone else's certificate.
- For institutes, the registered name and city match the listing.
Reviewed within 48 hours
We review every document within 48 hours of upload, including weekends. If something is unclear we say exactly what to fix so the tutor can resubmit.
Keeping it honest
Reports from parents, no-shows and poor post-demo feedback are reviewed by our team and can lead to a badge being removed or a profile being hidden. Every decision is logged.
Spotted a problem?
Use “Report this profile” at the bottom of any tutor page, or contact our grievance officer. Tutors can get verified from their profile.
