The last 90 days before boards or JEE/NEET: a realistic plan
The final 90 days decide more than the previous year. Here is a plan that works for boards, JEE and NEET alike.
Days 90 to 61: close the gaps
List every chapter and mark it green, amber or red. Spend these weeks only on amber and red. New topics now cost more than they earn.
Days 60 to 31: mock tests begin
One full mock every week, same time of day as the real exam
Spend as long analysing the mock as writing it
Keep an error notebook: every mistake, written once, never repeated
Days 30 to 1: revise, don't learn
Short notes, formula sheets and your error notebook only. Sleep and consistency beat all-nighters.
How a tutor helps in this phase
A good tutor in the last 90 days is a coach, not a lecturer: they set the mock schedule, review your errors, and keep the plan honest. If your tutor is still teaching new theory in the final month, have a conversation.
